State Doubles Championships

Come join us October 20-22 for the 2017 RPAA Arizona State Doubles Championship. The event will be held at Arizona State University's Sun Devil Fitness Center in Tempe, AZ. We are working hard to ensure that this event continues to grow and succeed. Enjoy the wonderful competition and hospitality throughout the weekend. We look forward to seeing you all there.

*Early Bird Discount: Register on or before September 22d to receive a $10 discount off registration fee.

While matches are self-refereed, the losers of quarterfinals will referee semi-final matches and losers of semi-finals will referee the Finals. Winners may find a substitute or a Board Member might be available. All volunteers are welcome to help referee matches!

Entry Deadline: October 13th; Entries accepted after this date with $10 late fee.

A juniors event may be conducted on Saturday if there is enough interest.

Ladies: We plan to conduct and complete all Womens Division on Saturday.

SUPPORT ARIZONA COLLEGE RACQUETBALL AND HAVE FUN !
ONE DAY OF RIPPING AND DIVING FOR COLLEGE RACQUETBALL!
Two fall shootouts at ASU in Tempe and at NAU in Flagstaff, (October 28)
Come test your mettle against the ASU and NAU racquetball teams as well as other local players in our team benefit shootout! ASU will host this fundraising event at the ASU Rec Center and all proceeds and donations will go to the ASU team to assist with travel expenses to the Intercollegiate Championships in Minnesota in March 2018.

Come have some fun playing the sport that we all love. Help support the ASU team in this one day shootout at the ASU Rec Center. We would love to see everyone there having a fun time getti ng to play against college players, local players, and some new players.

We greatly appreciate everyone that participates and donates money to us so that we can continue to compete in the National Collegiate Championships and show them what the Arizona players are all about. We cannot wait to see everyone at the shootout.

National Singles Championships

Welcome to the 50th Anniversary of the USA Racquetball National Singles Championships in Tempe, Arizona.

Come celebrate our Annual Award winners and Hall of Fame inductees, Tim Hansen and Bud Held,with a special event at the Graduate Hotel on Saturday night. Please print the Player Guide Here!

Join us at our two host hotels – Graduate Hotel and Moxy. Both hotels have shuttle service to and from the airport and walking distance to the competition site. All our social events throughout the week will be held at one of these two locations so stay close to all the action!

Feel the tensions rise as we crown our National Singles Champions, but have a bit of fun with our non-championship Doubles divisions. Be there in person as the chase for the 2017-18 U.S. Adult National Team Singles selection concludes at this last leg of Team Qualifying competition. Click Here

Medals will be awarded in divisions that have a minimum of 3 participants. If divisions are combined, medals will be awarded based on the order of placement within that combined division.

We honor our dedicated men and women in service – Military (Active & Retired), Police, Fire & EMTs - with our Heroes divisions.

Fun for the whole family as we have added select Junior divisions too. We hope you have a wonderful visit to “Sun” City which boasts great golf courses, Scottsdale, Sedona and the Grand Canyon close by. There are lots of things to do to kick of the Memorial holiday as you join us for the 50th Anniversary of National Singles.

Non-Qualifier Waiver - If you are under the age of 50 as of the first day of play and you did not play in a sanctioned qualifying event, you must pay the $25 waiver fee. Qualifying events include any 2017 USAR Regional Championship, any 2017 State Singles Championship that utilized a Penn Ball, the 2017 National Intercollegiate Championships, the 2017 NMRA Championships, and the 2017 WSMRA Championships.

Please remember when making your travel plans that play on Sunday will run until 4:00pm depending on your division.
Qualifier Divisions Finals will be PLAYED on SUNDAY
ALL Men’s Skill, Open Age & Age Skill divisions may begin play on Wednesday, at 3pm.

ALL Women’s Skill, Open Age & Age Skill divisions begin play on Thursday, beginning at 8:30am.

For Junior Players, 18 years and younger, entering championship divisions in addition to junior divisions receive a $50 discount.

This is not our normal Arizona Battle, its not going to be our normal Saturday singles and Sunday doubles! With the LPRT, CPRT and Hemborg Cup series along with players coming from all over its going to be anything but Normal.
Please join us by playing, watching or supporting our players in a family tailgate atmosphere. Some food provided but feel free to bring your own, we'll even bring the grill. Alcohol is allowed but please NO glass containers! The final battle will be anything but normal.

2016 USA Racquetball National Doubles Championships

The 2016 USA Racquetball National Doubles Championships will be held February 10 - 14, in Tempe, AZ on the campus of Arizona State University. This is the sport's premiere doubles tournament and everyone is invited to play. The tournament is presented by Penn and offers doubles divisions for skill, and age+skill, Centurion and Classic Racquet for men and women as well as Mixed divisions.
U.S. Team Singles Qualifying Divisions
A new addition to the National Doubles event this year. These divisions comprise one of three Singles Qualifying events towards a position on the U.S. Team. The U.S. Team Doubles Qualifying Divisions will also be held as usual. Prize Money is being offered for U.S. Team Doubles & Singles.

The WSMRA knows how special you are and we want to get to know you!

We are excited to have the 27th Annual Womens Senior/Masters Racquetball Association (WSMRA) National Championships at the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club in Tucson, Arizona! If you have never played in a WSMRA event, you are in for a treat. Yes, there will be plenty of racquetball. Our round-robin format ensures that you will be playing every day of our three-day tournament. We offer both Open/A competition for top-level players in five-year age increments, and B/C divisions if you arent quite as accomplished. You can also expect to meet new friends and connect with old ones. The food will be plentiful and the dancing lively. The Saturday night banquet will be a time for fun awards and slideshows, so make sure you set aside time for it. The rest of the time you are not playing your matches, you will definitely want to explore Tucson and the surrounding area. WSMRA tournaments are organized by the tournament committee, with help from the WSMRA board of directors. Kendra Tutsch (608.332.1073) is the president and driving force behind all of the fun.


If you are interested in joining our WSMRA group of ladies, we hope you will. There is no set membership fee, but any donation is greatly appreciated. Our expenses are low, but we like to do a little fundraising, so every little bit helps. The Village Health Club and Spas is Hosting their final Premier Racquetball Tournament August 20th- 23rd.

Starting September 1st, 2015 The Camelback Village will be taking out a racquetball court leaving 2 courts.

As a result the Village Health Club and Athlete Ratings are hosting their farewell to court 3 Racquetball Tournament.

Play will begin Thursday, August 20th matches begin at 5pm, last matches start at 9pm

MEMBERS ONLY
This event is hosted for USA Racquetball members only:
A USA Racquetball membership is required of all participants, and entrants may join with their entry or must be able to provide a current membership card number, a receipt, or a cancelled check as proof of recent enrollment.

EYEWEAR:
USA Racquetball Official Rules will govern competition, including the mandatory use of protective lensed eyewear tested to ASTM F803 or CSA impact standards. It is the player's responsibility to make certain that their eyewear conforms per rules.

ELGIBILITY:
Only U.S. citizens may compete in the U.S. Team Qualifying Open divsions; all other age & skill divisions are open to U.S. Citizens and residents. For age division competition, players must meet the age requirement as of the first day of "competition."

SKILL DIVISION CERTIFICATION:
A,B,C, and D division entrants must meet the stipulations noted.:
Players in Age+Skill must meet the same criteria for corresponding skill levels in AGE + A, B, or C divisions. Tournament directors will use the verification form to determine eligibility for skill competition and reserve the right to re-classify player.

Sanctioning:
All players must be an Arizona resident and a current member of the RPAA/USAR. If you are not a member, memberships will be available when entering on-line and at the event. The cost is $50 (adult) or $25 (junior) per year for a competitive license. A competitive license will allow you to receive numerous benefits throughout the year including state and national ranking points.

Age Requirement
For age division competition, participants must meet the proper age requirement as of the first day of the event.

Ref:
This event will be a self refereed event. If a match requires a referree it will be the responsibility of all players involved in match to find and agree to referee.

Refunds:
No refunds will be given after normal entry deadline because financial commitments will have already been made.

Hello All and welcome to the first annual Sun Devil Shootout. This is the first time this event is being held at the Arizona State Recreation Center on the amazing ASU Tempe campus. The event is to benefit the ASU club racquetball team fund their trip to the USRA Intercollegiate Tournament in March. This will be a one day shootout with many single and doubles divisions to play in. We have had to limit this event to only one doubles event. We hope to see you there in your maroon and gold.

Wildcat Weekend Open

Help us kick off the school year with Wildcat Weekend, September 13-14!

Join the University of Arizona Racquetball Team at the Arizona Rec Center for our first ever sanctioned racquetball tournament! Enjoy competitive racquetball in our beautifully renovated eight court Recreation Center in Tucson. Lunch and snacks will be provided both days. Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

All proceeds go towards sending our Arizona Racquetball Team to the National Intercollegiate Championships in March; any donations made will be given to the Arizona Racquetball Club to help encourage and grow racquetball at the collegiate level. Camelback Village Olympic Format Doubles Racquetball Tournament

Camelback Village Olympic Format Doubles Racquetball Tournament, starting the week of September 1st, 2014 runs through Oct 12th, 2014

The entry fee is $30 for members and $45 for non members. Please pay your entry fee at www.darinsproshop.com - Registration now available! Village members, please contact Darin Randles to register.

There are two divisions of Doubles:

Men's Open, Elite, A+ and A
Men's B+,B, C+ and C

In the 1st group, everyone starts in the Mens Open Doubles, if you lose your first match you move into the A+ Doubles bracket, if you lose your 2nd match you move into the Mens Elite Doubles bracket and if you lose your 1st and 2nd round you move into the A Doubles bracket.

In the 2nd group, everyone starts in the Mens B+ Doubles, if you lose your first match you move into the C+ Doubles bracket, if you lose your 2nd match you move into the Mens B Doubles bracket and if you lose your 1st and 2nd round you move into the C Doubles bracket.

Everyone is guaranteed three matches up to five matches depending on entries.

The 1st choice is to play your match at the Village Camelback if all players agree to play at a different location that is acceptable.

Grand Canyon State Games Summer Racquetball Tournament

Welcome to the 2014 Grand Canyon State Games Summer Racquetball Tournament

We have a full weekend of racquetball scheduled for everyone of all skill levels! As we did in the Winter games, we have opened up this tournament to all racquetball players, not just Arizona residents. So the competition should be exciting! And the best part is you might meet someone you haven't played before!! We really want to encourage all levels of players to join in on the fun, so ask your daily or weekly partners and opponents to enter!

We are again excited to have the Sun Devil Fitness Complex (formerly known as the ASU's Student Rec Center in Tempe, AZ) as the host site for this tournament. The Sun Devil Fitness Complex has gone through some major remodeling over the past couple of years and has a lot to offer, including the use of 10 of their racquetball courts for this tournament. 2014 USA Racquetball National Doubles Championships

The 2014 USA Racquetball National Doubles Championships will be held February 12-16, 2014 in Tempe, AZ on the campus of Arizona State University. This is the sport's premiere doubles tournament and everyone is invited to play. The tournament is presented by Head/Penn and offers doubles divisions for skill, and age+skill for men and women.

The 2014 National Doubles will also be offering the Centurion Doubles, (Open and A skill division) the combined age of both players that must add to be at least 100 years of age or more. The division is used in Michigan, Texas and other states with great success. This allows a number of fathers and sons to play together as well as coaches and mentors with students. The Men's and Women's U.S. Team Qualifying division also determines one-year appointments to the U.S. National Team that will be competing in international and world events.

There will also be live streaming of selected matches on the championship court, including the Men's and Women's U.S. Team Qualifying divisions on the IRTNetwork (www.irtnetwork.com).

Grand Canyon State Games Winter 2014 Racquetball Tournament

Its time once again for the GCSG Winter Racquetball Tournament being held Jan 24-26, 2014 at ASUs Student Recreation Center in Tempe, Arizona. Get geared up for the winter by playing in this fun tournament! The ASU Student Rec Center has plenty of racquetball courts for use during the tournament. It is located at 400 E. Apache Blvd; Tempe, AZ 85281.
A variety of levels of play are offered, from Novice to Open, for Men, Women, and juniors along with age group divisions for Men and Women. Also offered are doubles divisions for both men, women and mixed. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and Consolation. And remember at this tournament you can play in the consolation rounds if you lose your first round match. Just sign up at the tournament desk following your first round loss. So you can enjoy a lot of racquetball play during this 3 day event!

Phoenix Motor Company Annual Holiday Racquet Sports Tournament

Welcome to the Southwest's premiere tennis, squash and racquetball tournament with prize money in excess of $30,000! This will be the fifth year of a very successful partnership between Phoenix Motor Company and Camelback Village Racquet and Health Club. The tournament started in 2008 with just tennis, in 2010 squash was introduced and racquetball was added last year.

All tournament events will be played at Camelback Village Racquet and Health Club, 4444 E. Camelback Rd. Between the three sports, there will be over 500 participants and over the five day period, over 3000 players and spectators will be coming through the doors.

Racquetball was introduced last year with four 16 player draw: Open, A, B and C as well as an 8 team open doubles for men's A/B Doubles.

Squash will feature 72 players competing in an Olympic format; but new for 2011 will be an Open Invitational division where 8 of the best players from the nation will be invited to play the top 8 players in Arizona.

The tennis component will have over 16 different divisions ranging from 3.5 players all the way to the Open level featuring many national and world ranked players. Prize money will be paid to winners and division finalists in most of the event's draws.

Arizona State University's Student Recreation Center in Tempe, AZ is one of the finest venues in the nation for racquetball events. It only makes sense to host the RPAA 2013 Arizona State Doubles Championships in our own back yard! While the event has moved from Tucson to Phoenix, we expect a large crowd and plan on making this event bigger and better than ever. The First Annual RPAA Awards Party was a success, and we fully intend on continuing this tradition! Please stay tuned for more information!

2013 Flagstaff Open Racquetball Championships

2013 Flagstaff Open Racquetball Championships June 20th - 24th.
It's time to start planning for the Flagstaff Open. This year the WRT (World Racquetball Tour)is making a visit to the Flagstaff Open. We are planning on some of the top athletes from all parts of the United States including other Countries (Mexico, Chile, possibly Bolivia). Pro Singles and Pro Doubles will be offered at this year event. Prize money for events in Men's A Doubles, B Doubles, Combined 80+, and Mixed Open Doubles. We will also continue to offer a division for the Juniors and First time Women players. Last year we had a great success in those two events. It is very encouraged to bring out the young ones including Moms of all ages to participate in the event. We will be offering tons of Raffle Prizes throughout Friday and Saturday night. Friday night BBQ by the poolside and Saturday night BBQ at one of the famous site downtown which will be featuring a live country band. Plenty of food will be served throughout the tournament. This event will go down as a historical event, so don't miss out!!!
